In his new position, Pawar is in charge of developing and implementing Alto-Shaam’s regional sales plan, along with creating strategies to effectively manage and grow sales accounts. He will also be responsible for overseeing the culinary kitchen in India and Sri Lanka, as well as leading product demonstrations and providing product training for customers.
He will report to Paul Harper, Alto-Shaam vice president of Asia-Pacific. “I am very pleased to welcome Vijay to our team,” said Harper. “He has extensive knowledge and experience within the foodservice equipment industry that will make him a valuable asset to our Asia-Pacific region.”
Prior to joining Alto-Shaam, Pawar worked as general manager for an international refrigeration manufacturer, where he was in charge of planning the strategic direction of the business in India as well as creating marketing strategies to promote brand awareness and company growth within the region.
Speaking about his new role Pawar said: “I am extremely pleased to be joining the Alto-Shaam team and I cannot wait to get started and help the business achieve its objectives across India and Sri-Lanka.”
