ITW Food Equipment Group is proud to announce the fourth winner of the Save Your Kitchen 2020 campaign sweepstakes. The Sparta R-III School District, in Sparta, Missouri, won by random selection in October, the final of four drawings for 2020 in honor of National School Lunch Week.
The Sparta R-III School District is a public school that has 749 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1. The school’s middle school will be receiving a new Traulsen milk cooler for its 230 students in grades 5-8. According to the Sparta R-III School District Foodservice Director Laurent Watts, the product is badly needed.
“When it comes to our kitchens, all of our equipment is 20-50 years old. The cooking equipment is oldest at our elementary school, but space and cooling equipment is very limited at the middle school,” Watts said. “We chose the Traulsen 8 crate Milk Cooler because it solves our most urgent issue.”

This fifth iteration of the popular K-12 kitchen equipment makeover initiative kicked off in February of this year in anticipation of National School Breakfast Week.
