Presented by GlobalData's Mark Dempsey and supported by Wood Stone, Unox and Multiteria, the webcast explored opportunities and challenges in North America

On Wednesday 19 August 2020, FCSI broadcast the third entry in a series of live and interactive webcasts addressing how the foodservice sector is recovering in major regions of the world.

Focusing on North America, the live webcast – kindly supported by Wood Stone CorporationUnox and Multiteria USA – was presented by GlobalData’s consulting director Mark Dempsey and hosted by Michael Jones, editorial director of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine.

The webcast, limited to the first 100 registrants to sign up for it, explored foodservice trends and inspirations across North America, and assessed how the lockdown has affected its major territories and sectors.

Leveraging premium foodservice and retail crossover

“The world has changed dramatically, with long-lasting effects possible,” says Dempsey. But he was quick to point out that opportunities for continued growth exist in the North American market. “Thinking specifically about North America… experiencing premium foodservice, driving an experiential offering that crosses over between foodservice and retail, is not only something we’re seeing more of, but something that can really set the trend and drive sales growth over the next few years,” he says.
