FCSI UK&I ANNOUNCES COMPREHENSIVE ACTIVITY PROGRAMME FOR 2018

FCSI UK and Ireland (UK&I) continues to roll out a series of insightful and fun educational and networking events for its members throughout the year

FCSI UK and Ireland is building upon the many activities it undertook in 2017 with an extensive programme of events and promotional activities already planned for the year ahead.

In 2017, the Society hosted numerous events including a networking evening at Mercato Metropolitano in London, its first ‘Education Day’ held at the University of London in June, and its second Education Day held at RSA House in October. To help raise the profile of the FCSI UK and Ireland, the Society also had a significant presence at The Big Hospitality Show and Catering Equipment Dinner, The Commercial Kitchen Show, the PS100 Awards, the LACA Conference and November’s CESA Conference.

Seven events are already in the 2018 diary including a wine tasting and food pairing at Bedales at Leadenhall Market in February, a major presence at Hotelympia in March including an exhibition stand and FCSI evening event, an Education Day in May, and a stand at The Commercial Kitchen Show in June. Full details of all events are available on the new FCSI UK and Ireland’s website which went live in December (2017).

Strong links

In addition, an FCSI UK and Ireland LinkedIn company page now exists to enable members to showcase their projects and keep up-to-date with the latest news, an ongoing presence will be maintained in key magazines, a variety of speaker opportunities are being organised, and the Society is looking to build strong links with third parties, including the The British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) and The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA.)

“In 2017, we actively focussed on increasing the number of events at which the FCSI had a presence and also the development and trial of new member-event formats such as the Education Days,” says Julian Edwards, chair of FCSI UK and Ireland chair. “Our aim now is to develop our programme of events further, increase the amount of promotional activity we’re undertaking for the Society and to forge stronger links with third party organisations for the benefit of our members.”
