Hoshizaki America, Inc. has transferred manufacturing of seven undercounter self-contained icemakers models (KM-301BAJ, KM-301BWJ, KM-231BAJ, KM-161BAJ, KM-161BWJ, KM-116BAJ, KM-81BAJ) from Hoshizaki China to their facility in Peachtree City, Georgia.
“Our recent expansion and improvements in production flexibility have given us the opportunity to manufacturer the small KM icemakers models right here in Peachtree City.”Stated Brad Powell, Hoshizaki America’s VP of Manufacturing. “We started manufacturing the KM-301BAJ on May 20th of this year and will complete the lineup this month.”
A true undercounter profile
All seven model names have changed, increasing by one digit, this will aid to identify the manufacturing change to the US. Other than that, the icemakers remain largely unchanged.
All small KM icemakers produce individual crescent shape ice cubes, have exteriors constructed of stainless steel, are compliant with the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA), and stand 39” tall with the included 6” legs. Before removing the legs for a true undercounter profile, check local health codes for additional installation requirements. Hoshizaki America also warranties the entire machine parts and labor for three years and the compressor for 5 years.
