Carpigiani Continues Development of Soft Serve Range with New Launch

Carpigiani is launching the XVL soft serve line

A name synonymous with the manufacture of state of the art equipment for ice cream production – whether that is soft serve or artisan, Carpigiani is seen by many within the industry to be at the forefront of development of commercial equipment. Now, in a move to follow the launch of the popular EVD range in 2012, the company is launching the XVL soft serve line.

Boasting the latest in express technology, the XVL line includes a collection of compact, robust floor-standing models, utilising much of the extensive research and development undertaken by Carpigiani into the production of soft serve gelato.

The XVL range consists of two models – the XVL 1 ideal for single flavours, and the XVL 3 featuring a twin hopper design for double flavours. Both models are designed with space saving in mind and are ideal for self-service front of house locations as well as commercial kitchen set-ups.

The XVL 3, the larger of the two models utilises twin hoppers, each with its own dedicated motor which runs only when the corresponding cylinder is being used. Not only does this  allow the operator to independently blend and freeze individual mixes but allows for the combined use of very different desserts including milk or fruit based gelato or even frozen yoghurt.

The XVL range incorporates a number of key design features, including:

  • An intuitive, graphics facilitated, touch sensitive control panel.
  • Precision dispensing with an optional choice of smooth or serrated nozzles.
  • Self-closing dispensers to automatically stop the flow of gelato when released.
  • A large 10cm dispensing space, making the unit ideal for filling large cups or cake molds.
  • Optional configuration to include self-pasteurising, dry filling and water cooling functions.

With a footprint of just 500x700x1600mm (w/d/h) the XVL 3 is able to make the most of limited space. Capable of dispensing up to 670 x 75g portions per hour – the unit guarantees continuous production, even during peak hours.
