Unox has announced the promotion of chef Sherief Shawky to corporate chef team leader for the US.
In his new role, chef Shawky will guide Unox’s nationwide team of corporate chefs in directing demos, trainings, tradeshow activations and other customer-facing programs designed to help operators get the most from Unox combi and speed oven technologies.
A classically trained chef with more than a decade of kitchen leadership, chef Shawky joined Unox in 2023 after serving as executive chef at 5Church Charlotte and regional culinary director for 5th Street Group.
Creativity and operational rigor

As corporate chef team leader, chef Shawky will
- Mentor and develop Unox’s U.S. corporate chefs to deliver consistent, high-quality culinary experiences
- Lead strategic key-account demos and tradeshow presentations
- Coordinate nationwide training programs, recipe development and field tests that validate product performance
Chef Shawky is an advocate for mental health awareness in hospitality, serving as an ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project, a nonprofit focused on ending the stigma surrounding mental illness in the foodservice industry.
