FCSI The Americas consultants and Frymaster’s director of new product development predict a changing world of back-of-house needs and challenges

On Thursday February 2, 2023, two leading FCSI The Americas consultants and Wendell Hays, director of new product development at Frymaster, met at the Welbilt booth at the NAFEM Show ’23 to record a special FCSI Future-tech panel session. The focus was on how the changing world of back-of-house needs will be translated into meaningful digital and mechanical applications that improve operational performance, food quality and sustainability.

Chaired by Michael Jones of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine, the roundtable saw leading consultants Laura Lentz FCSI of Culinary Advisors and Joe Schumaker FCSI of FoodSpace discuss the key challenges their clients are experiencing.

The roundtable, sponsored by Welbilt Inc. and Frymaster also takes in the subject of specific innovation and new ways of thinking and process that have fundamentally changed how consultants work on back-of-house projects in the future.
