FCSI Asia Pacific is proud to once again be involved with HOTELEX Shanghai 2015, which will be held from 30 March – 2 April at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). Covering a total exhibition area of 130,000 square meters, with 2,500 exhibitors and over 85,000 buyers from 132 countries and regions, HOTELEX Shanghai is one of the largest, most effective exhibitions in the Asian hospitality arena. The show features 13 exhibition profiles which aim to provide professionals with a one-stop shopping platform: catering equipment supply, tableware, textile, appliance amenities, IT and security, fitness and leisure, food and beverage, coffee and tea, bakery and ice cream, wine and spirits, hotel building, hotel engineering and hotel design.

HOTELEX 2015 will continue the public forum programme on ‘Foodservice in the 21st Century’ and FCSI APD speakers will share the latest trends in commercial kitchen design and central production kitchens. The Catering Halls will feature a range of championship competitions including: World Brewer Coffee Champiosnip, China Gelato Championship, China Master Bartender Competition and China Barista Championship.

HOTELEX provides a global platform for the hospitality industry, offering an excellent opportunity for professionals to network with colleagues and explore the latest industry trends. HOTELEX welcomes the FCSI community to join them in Shanghai in 2015.

HOFEX 2015

HOFEX 2015 will be held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 6-9 May 2015. The biennial event will showcase a full spectrum of products that can be found in hotels, restaurants and bars, ranging from cooking equipment and tableware to food and beverage, supplied by over 2,000 companies from 48 countries. HOFEX 2015 is expected to attract over 40,000 buyers from around the globe.

First Asia Catering Equipment Innovation Awards

Riding in on the megatrend of sustainability, the F&B equipment market has seen more new eco-friendly innovations that enable greater savings in energy and resources. Aiming to recognise manufacturers and designers of these remarkable inventions, the Asia Catering Equipment Innovation Awards will be inaugurated at HOFEX 2015.

Further to being a supporting organisation for this award, FCSI Asia Pacific Division (APD) plans to form a partnership with HOFEX, thus jointly organising the award biennially for the next three editions of HOFEX (2015, 2017 and 2019).

In addition to FCSI professional consultants, the judging panel will also include renowned chefs, F&B directors of hotels and restaurant chains and industry experts alike. FCSI APD will be actively involved in defining the award selection criteria and the scoring system. Only those equipment suppliers exhibiting at HOFEX are allowed to compete for these awards. The award-winning products will be featured on site as well as in trade magazines and promotional materials during and after the show. Award entry is open until 31 January 2015. Other events include Hong Kong International Culinary Classic, a high-standard cooking competition attended by professional chefs across Asia; Hong Kong Barista Championship, the winner of which will represent Hong Kong in competing with 50 national champions in the World Barista Championship; Hospitality Technology Conference, one of the leading independent events for the hospitality technology industry; and many more educational seminars, forums and fun activities.
