FCSI Asia Pacific Division hosts inaugural Foodservice Innovation Event

The event in Perth, Western Australia, aimed to share, support and inspire foodservice businesses with innovative processes in a relaxed learning environment

With the move to revitalise and enhance the awareness of the FCSI brand within the Asia Pacific Division, FCSI allied member Moffat and FCSI professional member Mario Sequeira FCSI teamed up to host an industry event on Tuesday 27 February 2018 in Perth, Western Australia (WA). The event was held at the new Moffat display kitchen and showroom.

Maximising efficiency

The FCSI Asia Pacific Division’s inaugural Foodservice Innovation Event aimed to share, support and inspire foodservice businesses with innovative processes in a relaxed learning environment with peers from the hospitality and healthcare industries. The theme of the event was ‘Maximising efficiency using cook-chill technology’ with the following benefits:

  • Consistent food quality
  • Enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Better labour and energy utilisation
  • Provide a more flexible and efficient service delivery
  • Versatile use to offer contemporary Australian and Asian dishes and smoked meats in both small and large scale operations.

Industry executives

The event was attended by various interested industry peers. Some of the attendees included the executive chef of a leading 5-star hotel in Perth, the catering manager of the second largest Hospital in WA, the F&B manager of the largest not for profit aged care provider in WA and restaurant business owners and operators.

Meiko Australia have already expressed an interest in being part of the next event, to be focussed on waste management.
