Bocuse d’Or: Asia Pacific selection revealed

Five countries from Asia Pacific will be joining the 2023 Bocuse d’Or grand final in Lyon

Little remains to get preparations in place for the highly competitive cooking event, which will return to Sirha trade show in January 2023. The selection of the countries from the Asia-Pacific region takes the number of teams to 20 so far.

In order to have a chance to be selected to participate in the grand final, each team had to submit an application file consisting of a recipe project and a presentation of the team members, including candidate, commis, coach and jury.

The countries selected to represent the Asia-Pacific region are:

Australia – Alexander McInstosh
China – Nick Lin
Japan – Tomoyuki Ishii
New Zealand – William Mordido
South Korea – Hwang Byeong Hyen

The five teams will join the list of 15 teams already selected – 10 from Europe and five from The Americas. To complete the line up, the final continental selection, for Bocuse d’Or Africa, will be held in September.

The ingredients and the recipes that teams have to prepare for the grand final in Lyon will be revealed in December, following the draw for the running order in October.

Bocuse d’Or will be held on 22 and 23 January 2023 during Sirha Lyon. For more information, please visit: www.bocusedor.com
