As the latest innovation to be introduced to the Wexiodisk warewashing offering, the control panel sets a new standard in ease of operation, and focuses on making industrial warewashing equipment more user-friendly.
Designed with ease of use, speed and functionality in mind, the new control system comprises of a bright touchscreen, mirroring those of the latest smartphones. The crystal-clear interface displays a range of control functions, simple, intuitive icons, visible colour-coded warnings and audible alerts, which highlight the required action on the screen to guide users in the next steps of a fix procedure.
User-friendly
The control panel features easy to understand cleaning and operating instructions, which are programmed into the software, along with picture-led diagrams and instructions to overcome any language barriers, helping to make user training a more efficient process. The progress of the wash cycle the machine status are shown clearly on the user interface screen, including the heat up times and time remaining on the wash cycle. With a number of wash programmes to select, the operator can simply press the cycle required on the screen and the subsequent actions will be clearly displayed to ensure that the process is initiated correctly.
The screen can also be used to display machine diagnostics for operators and service engineers as well as cleaning procedures to ensure that they are always carried out to the manufacturer’s recommendations. This not only helps the operator save time in training, but also cuts down on any downtime required for machine maintenance.
Clear colour coded alarms
Split into four different colour coded alarms, green, blue, yellow and red – each colour clearly indicates a different function for the user to see. A clear green tick will be displayed on screen when the machine is ready to use or when a part of the cycle is complete. This allows the operator to continue with other kitchen tasks, in turn ensuring a more efficient use of labour in a busy pot-washing environment.
A blue alert informs the user of a minor operating issue that requires attention. This could be something as simple as replacing the cleaning chemicals or performing a machine cleaning cycle. A yellow alarm indicates that the issue needs to be corrected by the user before the next wash is started. In both these cases, the display is able to guide the operator through the process of fixing the problem, in many cases, eliminating any downtime or engineer call outs. If a technician needs to attend or if it a serious problem should occur, then a red alert with become visible and audible alarms will sound from the screen, informing the operator that a service engineer must visit before the machine can be started again.
