The announcement was made at LTI’s new building dedication
LTI, Inc. has recently named Specialty Rolled Metals its 2018 Supplier of the Year. The family-owned business, headquartered in Carol Stream, Illinois, has supplied LTI with stainless steel for the manufacturing of serving equipment since 2015.
LTI chose Specialty Rolled Metals for this award based on its commitment to work with the manufacturer as a true business partner, rather than just as a supplier. The award was accepted by Specialty Rolled Metal’s Vice President of Operations Satish Patel, Vice President of Sales Tom Flynn, and General Manager Mike Kiewert.
“Over the years [Specialty Rolled Metals] has helped us understand the broader industry trends that we needed to stay in tune with,” said LTI CFO Mike Moody at the building dedication.
“They also have helped us understand and realize the benefit of alternative metals to help us stay cost competitive, while at the same time not sacrificing our quality.”
In addition to LTI’s investment in their new building, the manufacturer has also recently purchased a new laser machine — a tool that cuts the metal supplied by Specialty Rolled Metals.
“Because they supply us the metal to use on our new laser, they are actively helping us maximize the benefits that our new equipment provides,” Moody said. “We look forward to many more years of working closely with them.”
Specialty Rolled Metals has locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas and Georgia and supplies sheet metal and sheet metal preparation services.
