Steve Elliott, the well-known catering equipment expert, has announced his return to the industry, taking on a new role with Foodservice Equipment Marketing Ltd and simultaneously launching his own entity, Servara Consulting.
Known by many thanks to his dedication to the equipment sector, Steve has spent several decades in leading roles with manufacturers including Falcon, Gram UK Ltd and most recently, Valentine & Cuisinequip. Announced in the new role of Training Chef at family owned, Foodservice Equipment Marketing Ltd (FEM), Elliott will be instrumental in demonstrating the capabilities of the Prática Europe, high-speed ovens and the company’s innovative Venix commercial air fryers.
Following the announcement, Mike Inwood, FEM sales director, said, “we would like to extend a warm welcome to Steve Elliott, who has joined the Foodservice Equipment Marketing family as our new training chef. Steve will be supporting Chef Nathan Osborne, to demonstrate our range of equipment, including our Prática Europe and Venix air fryers, to our customers and dealer partners going forward. With Steve’s extensive catering equipment experience and almost unrivalled knowledge, we look forward to seeing how he will benefit our team and our customers. Steve and I have already been on-site training for a customer looking at our unique Prática ST stacable oven.”
A dedicated service
In addition to his role at FEM, Elliott has launched Servara Consulting, his own enterprise. Servara Consulting is a dedicated service for catering equipment manufacturers and suppliers and will be offering sales and business advice and support across the sector. With Elliott’s experience in catering equipment covering more than 30 years, he started as an area sales manager for Bartlett Foodservice Equipment.
Prior to this, Elliott’s experience had been in the operational side of catering in hotels and hospitality venues. Elliott’s key experience is in cooking and refrigeration, specialising in fryers, pasta makers and induction in his most recent roles.
“I’m delighted to have launched Servara Consulting, a dedicated business offering for those in the catering equipment sector. Using my previous experience, knowledge and connections, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with friends, colleagues and partners across the sector,” said Elliott.
“Over the past twelve months, I’ve enjoyed some quality time with my family and also enjoyed the freedom to consider how I wish to serve the industry I hold so dearly. In Servara Consulting, I have the opportunity to put my experience to best use to support others.”
