Erika Cottrell named general manager of Middleby Coffee Solutions Group

Cottrell will oversee sales, strategy and operations of the Middleby brands in the Pacific Northwest, Concordia Beverage Systems, Synesso and Bloomfield

Erika Cottrell has joined Middleby as general manager of the Middleby Coffee Solutions Group. In this new position she will oversee the sales, strategy and day-to-day operations of the Middleby brands based in the Pacific Northwest, Concordia Beverage Systems, Synesso and Bloomfield.

“Erika will quickly be an asset not only to the Middleby Coffee Solutions Group but the entire organization due to her deep knowledge base and diverse experience in marketing and operations,” said Middleby Beverage group president Korey Kohl.

“She is an exceptional leader who has a proven track record of executing successful and highly-effective brand strategies while making innovation a priority.”

New responsibilities

With the formation of the Middleby Coffee Solutions Group, Robin Mooney has been promoted to executive vice president and will lead the domestic sales efforts for the three brands in the group. Prior to taking on this larger company role, she was GM of Concordia.

Sarah Palmer will also expand her responsibilities, being named vice president of international sales for the Middleby Coffee Solutions Group. Previously she was director of global sales and marketing at Synesso.

Prior to joining Middleby, Cottrell was the vice president of marketing in the Consumer Foods Division for The J. M. Smucker Company. She was responsible for brand strategy creation, execution and break through innovation for iconic, trusted brands. Prior to the company’s acquisition by The J. M. Smucker Company,Cottrell was General Manager of Sahale Snacks. Before naming her GM of Sahale Snacks, she held various leadership positions including marketing and operations.

Cottrell has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Washington, Seattle. She will be based in the Greater Seattle area.
