On Tuesday March 30, 2021, leading experts on the subject of improving air quality in foodservice met for a virtual roundtable, hosted by FCSI, to debate the topic.

Chaired by Michael Jones of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine, the panel saw Nahum Goldberg FCSI, principal, NGAssociates Foodservice Consultants, Inc.; Patrick L. Guzzle, vice president, Food Science, National Restaurant Association; Scott Heim, president of Middleby Ventless Solutions & Evo America, The Middleby Corporation; and Dr Karl G. Linden, Mortenson Professor in Sustainable Development and Environmental Engineering, The University of Colorado Boulder; discuss how the foodservice sector can make indoor dining and working spaces safe again by improving air purification systems. The roundtable also addressed how innovation is helping to tackle and eradicate airborne pathogens, such as coronavirus.
