Leading FCSI The Americas consultants have taken part in a virtual roundtable discussion on the future of post-pandemic foodservice and hospitality.
The roundtable, supported by Hoshizaki, is part of FCSI’s Innovation Spotlight virtual panel series, hosted on fcsi.org.
Chaired by Michael Jones, editorial director of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine, the discussion featured consultants Steve Carlson FCSI, Rippe Associates; Anja Kuechenmeister FCSI, Camacho; Laura Lentz FCSI, Culinary Advisors, LLC; Joseph Schumaker FCSI, FoodSpace; and Ken Schwartz FCSI, SSA, Inc.
The panel covered topics, including:
- The biggest challenges foodservice and hospitality clients are continuing to face for the long term, including lack of labor, market uncertainty, supply chain issues, disruptive forces and a new competitive landscape sustainability and climate crisis.
- The measures operator clients have implemented that have helped them to recover quickly.
- Smart initiatives clients have adopted or taken from other sectors that have helped them to get back on their feet quickly.
