The Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) Educational Foundation was the beneficiary of the FCSI Educational Foundation 33rd Annual Golf Scramble & Crab Feast held earlier this month on August 6, 2025. The event, organized by Bob Jacobs FCSI and consultancy Culinary Advisors, has raised more than $570,000 for educational initiatives over three decades.
This year marked the first fundraising effort supporting the newly established Jo & John Birchfield Sr Educational Scholarship program, which honors the early commitment of Jo and John Birchfield Sr to foodservice education.

Educational mission
“We appreciate Bob Jacobs and Culinary Advisors for organizing this annual event that supports our educational mission,” said Kathleen Held, CPSM, president of the FCSI Educational Foundation and CEO of Cini-Little. “We’re also grateful to all the sponsors who made this year’s event possible.”
Bob Jacobs, design principal at Culinary Advisors (pictured in lead image with members of the FCSI EF board), has organized this event for more than 30 years, beginning at Birchfield Jacobs Foodsystems and continuing with his current firm. According to Jacobs, this year’s event was a tremendous success, attracting 240 golfers and 400 attendees who enjoyed fresh crabs steamed on-site.
The Foundation thanks all sponsors who supported this year’s event. A complete list of sponsors is available at https://birdease.com/32384/oursupporters, and a photo gallery at https://226483.lightfolio.com/gallery/fcsi-ef-33rd-annual-golf-crabfeast.
