UK foodservice industry welcomes return of key trade shows

This week sees the welcome return of the Commercial Kitchen, Casual Dining and Lunch trade shows at the Excel Centre in London

Over the course of two days, delegates will enjoy a packed programme of speakers from the foodservice sectors. While the three industry leading shows are held in the same location concurrently, each of them offers a separate programme of events and seminars.

“We’re delighted to be back connecting suppliers and operators when they need it most. Now is the time to seek support from peers, feel inspired by thought leaders and push forward with business once again. A huge thank you to all our supporters, visitors and exhibitors for making this happen,” says Chris Brazier, group event director.

Key events

After an unprecedented 18-month period of time, which has seen the wider foodservice sector disrupted by a global pandemic, the shows provide a welcome return to networking and learning about new trends, products and services.

“Commercial Kitchen is one of the key events of the year. Innovation in our industry is moving so fast that the chance to see everything in one place is not to be missed,” says Martyn Clover, head of food at Tortilla.

Speakers from major foodservice companies, including Pret A manger, Burger King, Benugo and Leon will participate in the Casual Dining and Lunch while renowned chefs Sait Bains and Atul Kochhar are joining the Commercial Kitchen show.

FCSI will host a roundtable discussion focused on foodservice in a post-pandemic world. Hosted by Michael Jones of FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant magazine, the panel will be attended by FCSI UK & Ireland members and industry experts who will discuss the lessons learned from the pandemic and post-Covid trends in foodservice.

This session will take place in the Keynote Theatre North, Hall 5 on Friday 24 Deptember at 1pm.
