FCSI’s quarterly publication Foodservice Consultant has won two silvers at the 2014 Pearl Awards in New York City
Foodservice Consultant magazine from the FCSI has been honoured by The Content Council, the international organisation for content marketing. The magazine scooped two silver awards last week at the prestigious Pearl Awards in New York City.
The annual Pearl Awards celebrate the best in content marketing from around the world. Winners were picked from nearly 500 entries from leading brands, publishers and agencies. Experts judged entries simultaneously in five different locations on overall effectiveness, creativity, appearance and more.
The two silver awards, for Best Overall Editorial (B2B) and Best New Launch or Re-launch, were received in person by Foodservice Consultant’s editor Michael Jones of Progressive Customer Publishing, the agency responsible for producing the magazine, app and website, and Wade Koehler CAE, executive director of FCSI The Americas Division.
“The calibre of work submitted to the Pearl Awards this year was above and beyond,” said Andy Seibert, The Content Council Chairman. “We were honored to have so much global talent in one room last night. What an amazing year for content marketing.”
Commenting on the awards, John Radchenko FCSI, past president of FCSI Worldwide said, “This is fantastic news. FCSI members should be most certainly pleased with all that has transpired. Congratulations on a job well done.”
In 2013 Foodservice Consultant was “Highly Commended” by the judging panel at the International Content Marketing Association (CMA) Awards in London. It was also shortlisted for two awards, Editor of the Year and Art Director of the Year, at the 2014 British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME’s) Awards in London on 17 November in London.
The magazine has also been shortlisted for two awards, for Best Overall Editorial and Best Overall Design, at the 2014 Folio Eddies & Ozzies awards on 11 December in New York City. The Eddies & Ozzies are the largest awards competition in magazine publishing, garnering more than 2,000 entries and bestowing more than 140 awards.
