Coming from the F and B and management side, he served as manager in different parts of the foodservice and hotel industry. He was the owner of different hotels, family and fine dining restaurants and an event hall. For 10 years he operated a catering company of exhibition fairs through Europe like Leipzig, Paris, Lyon, Madrid, Hanover. Since 25 years he is an independent MAS consultant; owner of FRANZEN Beratung Moderation and Gutachten, Dallgow. His main field is development of concepts, market research, feasibility studies, coaching on pre-opening and opening periods, staff selection and instruction, quality management,
expert’s reports and specialist in restoration to profitability. He worked mainly in Germany, Belgium, France, Tunisia and Ukrainia. He is the President of the German insurance association of owners of hotels, restaurants and cateres; member of the supervisory board of EZB GmbH Bonn; honouree judge of the financial court of Brandenbourg; since 1999 member of FCSI; since 1999 president of FCSI Germany-Austria; since 2006 treasurer of FCSI EAME. During 14 years he holds the presidency of the German hotel and restaurant association Saarland and of her foundation for supporting students in the industry, during 12 years honouree judge of the industrial and social court of Saarland.
