Barbara Koziorowska is an alumnus of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, the department of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences. After successful graduation in 1984 she continued her work there as an associate professor and in 1991 was granted a Doctor’s degree on CAD (Computer Aided Design) as an aid of catering establishments design.
In 1998 the first edition of the book Design of public catering establishments, hotel and hospital kitchens” written by Barbara Koziorowska. The book is based on the scientific studies in the field of kitchen design the author performed in Manchester University and the University of Bonn and precise analysis of HoReCa design problems and trends existing in Poland. The book being used by the modern school of polish designers and consultants is now translated for the distribution in Russia.
In 1993 Barbara Koziorowska established Gastro-Projekt, a group of specialists in the design of professional kitchens for hotels, canteens, restaurants, hospitals, etc.
Opening of a designing firm was a reasonable reaction on the growing demand in professional food services on the Polish market.
The goal of the firm was to bring the new trends of project conceptions in HoReCa field in Poland and adapt the new technologies to the economic conditions, architectural and cultural traditions of the country.
In the capacity of a company manager Barbara Koziorowska has created a unite team of highly skilled professionals, whose work includes creative passion, reasonable management of costs and understanding of the customer’s needs and ideas.
In 15 years Barbara Koziorowska has built up a firm occupying a prominent place on the food-service design and consultancy market.
