Role Summary:
The Food team at  “Inspiring IT Account” is responsible for creating food experiences that promote collaboration and engage and energize employees throughout each day. With more than 220 cafes globally serving over 175,000 meals daily, the team works with a variety of vendors to provide great service, delicious food and innovative food experiences. As the Kitchen Design Manager you think about all things related to food service including equipment selection, layout and flow as well as contractor bidding, selection, and installation. From our ever-popular MicroKitchens to multi-course meals at cafes, the design, layout and experience of eating at “Inspiring IT Account” should not only be easy and intuitive, but should promote healthy habits and social serendipity for employees. Responsibilities:

In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following:

  • Work with the Food Design Managers to understand culinary concept programming and equipment needs of the Food team. Then with the project development team including an external, site-relevant kitchen designer you will identify equipment specifications to develop space flow and layout equipment into an overall schematic design plan with an associated tagged equipment schedule

  • Manage external, independent, food service design partners per project which will be utilized to complete full development of food service drawing packages including rough-in MEP point-of-connection drawings, elevation drawings and regionally relevant equipment specifications

  • Act as the liaison between the food team and the local food service partner throughout the process to ensure design intent is maintained. Will also be the day-to-day contact for all equipment related questions, changes, and shop drawing submittals as we work from schematic design through project completion.

  • Develop and maintain standard equipment list per region for all spaces including but not limited to MicroKitchens and Cafes. This includes maintaining a list of acceptable equipment alternates to be used in cases of value engineering. With this work, also partner with internal facilities teams to ensure optimization of energy, environmental and budgetary requirements as well as equipment efficiency.

  • Participation in development of general design guidelines for current and future food initiatives.

  • Work with internal strategic sourcing team to negotiate direct bulk pricing on specific equipment with manufacturers and kitchen equipment contractors/suppliers to be utilized by project teams throughout the region.
