Bookatable acquires EasyPreOrders

Europe’s leading restaurant reservation marketplace announces acquisition of online table booking and pre-payment platform

Bookatable, a Michelin Group company and Europe’s leading restaurant reservation marketplace, today announces the acquisition of EasyPreOrders (EPO), the online table booking and pre-payment platform.

The acquisition of EPO will complement the services offered by Bookatable by adding additional features to its online booking platform. This enhancement of the customer interface, through proven technological enrichment, will help to strengthen Bookatable’s leadership in the European online booking market.

Michel Cassius, Bookatable CEO said: “I’m excited about what this acquisition means for the development of our business and how it improves our offering for both restaurants and diners. We’ve been working exclusively with EPO for the last two years and have seen how its solution is responding to market needs.”

Key benefits

EPO benefits both restaurateurs and their customers by allowing booking, ordering and payment to all be completed upfront. Restaurant owners have an effective way to avoid the costs of “no-shows” by securing table reservations and are better able to anticipate food requirements in their kitchen, whilst diners can control the budget for the evening, and simplify exclusive events and large party payments.

EPO Founder and Managing Director, Mark Roberts said: “Bookatable has always shared EPO’s mission of using technology to make going out to eat more streamlined for both restaurants and diners, so we are absolutely delighted to be joining forces to make that happen on a larger scale.

The deal also includes the integration of four existing EPO employees into Bookatable’s team.
