Automatic Bar Controls, Inc., a division of the Middleby Corporation, has named industry veteran Wayne Froehlich as General Manager. Froehlich will oversee the Automatic Bar Control beverage brands Wunder-Bar, JoeTap, Starline, and Bloomfield.
“Wayne’s deep experience will be an asset as we accelerate product development and launches across all of the brands in the group and expand our offerings in the beverage category,” said Middleby Beverage Group President Korey Kohl.
“Middleby recently invested in a new Vacaville, California manufacturing plant. Under Wayne’s leadership, we are confident in efficient product production and advanced equipment innovation stemming from this new facility.
“Additionally, Wayne will enforce the highest product quality standards as we introduce our new lineup of beverage products this year.”
A newly-created position
In this newly-created position, Froehlich will oversee and direct the day-to-day engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, accounting, customer service and human resources operations for the brands under his leadership. He will work closely with Steve Chappell, vice president of business development, and will report to Kohl.
Froehlich joins Automatic Bar Controls with more than 35 years of experience, primarily in the commercial foodservice industry. Most recently, he was VP/GM at Guardian Equipment, a manufacturer of emergency eye wash and showers for the industrial chemical industry.
Prior to that he was with Prince Castle LLC, where he directed operations at the company’s main facility, Silver King’s Refrigeration in Plymouth Minn., as well as their offshore facility in Ningbo, China. In this role he was responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing business units that were under his leadership.
