HOBART, the Offenburg, Germany-based warewashing specialist, has appointed Markus Bau as director for food service and sales manager. Bau will take over the sales management for warewashing, cooking and food preparation technologies for HOBART in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and has been tasked with enhancing sales in these territories.
Bau, who holds a degree in industrial engineering, will continue to be responsible for sales in the Asia-Pacific region.
Long-term experience
Bau started his career at HOBART in 1998 as a project manager and was later responsible for various sectors in order handling, production, and sales. He left the company in 2006 before returning in 2016 to become HOBART’s director of system engineering and export. In this function he was responsible for the company’s airline catering, global marine, industrial cleaning, and export business units.
Daniel Glasow, the former head of sales for HOBART in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will now take up the position of general manager for HOBART Australia.
