Antunes promotes two directors

Daniel Schmidt has being named director of strategic operations while Steve Obermeier has been promoted to director of sales

Antunes, a family owned and operated company specializing in the manufacturing of foodservice equipment, has named Daniel Schmidt as director of strategic operations. Schmidt has been with Antunes since 2010 and most recently served as director of sales for the company.

As director of strategic operations, Schmidt will oversee the marketing, product management and supply chain departments — working with internal teams, suppliers and other partners to manage the product life cycle in order to increase the efficiency of operations.

A growing portfolio

“As our company and portfolio of products grow, it is important that we find ways to be more efficient in the way we manage and spend our resources,” said Dan Hartlein, president of Antunes. “Daniel’s role enables us to address these objectives and provide the very best products for our customers.”

Additionally, with Schmidt moving into this newly created role, Steve Obermeier has been promoted to director of sales. In this role, he is responsible for the management of the sales team — including setting and executing the company’s sales strategy and partnering with channel members to drive success for customers. Obermeier has more than 30 years in the foodservice industry and joined Antunes earlier this year.
