Watch: Innovation and technology in foodservice – consultant panel

FCSI’s Innovation In The Kitchen video series, supported by Middleby, recorded a new episode on June 4, 2025, live at the new Middleby Innovation Kitchen in Olching, Germany. The panel addressed how innovation – and specifically automation and AI technology – is elevating foodservice operations in professional kitchens in Europe and North America and solving problems for consultants and their clients. It also explored how innovation is shifting the needle and effecting change for operators, from labor-saving kitchen foodservice equipment to AI-enabled technology in the front of house. Plus: how innovation is changing the way that consultants design kitchen spaces.

Participants were consultants Ruven Eichert FCSI, CucinaPlanConsult International; Kathleen Held, Cinilittle; Alexander Hofer FCSI, H44; Aidan Ross FCSI, Cantium Catering; plus Meghan Daro, The Middleby Corporation, while Michael Jones, editorial director, FCSI’s Foodservice Consultant, moderated the session.
