FCSI UK AND IRELAND APPOINTS NEW VICE CHAIR

Matthew Merritt-Harrison FCSI will support the current chair, Julian Edwards FCSI, until he assumes the role of chair in December this year

Matthew Merritt-Harrison FCSI has been appointed as vice chair of the FCSI UK and Ireland. Merritt-Harrison, who is managing partner of Merritt-Harrison Catering Consultancy, will support the current chair, Julian Edwards, until he assumes the role of chair in December this year.

Experience

With more than 40 years’ experience of the catering industry, Merritt-Harrison is also a fellow of the Institute of Hospitality, was formerly co-chair of the FCSI North American Conference and was chair of a previous FCSI Worldwide conference.

In his role as vice chair, Merritt-Harrison is keen to position the FCSI UK and Ireland as the authoritative voice of the industry, for its members to be seen as the ‘go-to’ experts with regard to management consultancy and design, and for the society to add value and competitive advantage for FCSI members of all grades.

Opportunities

Merritt-Harrison will also work closely with the FCSI in Europe and Worldwide to ensure that members have additional opportunities to develop their businesses and learn from the FCSI internationally.
