FCSI REWARDS GREEN EQUIPMENT AT CESA CONFERENCE
CESA member receives sustainability accolade
15 November 2011
CESA member Exclusive Ranges Ltd has been awarded the FCSI Sustainable Catering Equipment Award for Net Comfort, an all-encompassing solution that overcomes the complexities of energy monitoring of catering appliances without the need for expensive individual meters.
Net Comfort provides data to reduce unnecessary energy consumption, improve operational working practices and identifies when there may be a fault with the appliance. It also brings further commercial benefit by enabling the user to budget forecasts for utility bills.
FCSI Professional Consultants Kate Gould and Gareth Sefton judged the award. Gareth commented: "We had a vast number of entries, all displaying fantastic green credentials. The final decision was tough, but the Exclusive Ranges Net Comfort system displayed innovation, fantastic sustainability features and is a brilliant product on the market.”
The prestigious suppliers award recognises the CESA members' product that is considered to be the most sustainable in its practical application. The accolade was presented by FCSI Chairman David Bentley at the Annual CESA Conference in association with FCSI and BHA, which was held on 10 and 11 November at the Oxford Belfry.
Exclusive Ranges beat stiff competition from two highly commended products:
· Environmental Products and Services Ltd – GreaseShield Eco Ultimate 2000 Series, a clever solution to the removal of Fats, Oils and Grease that reuses wasted thermal energy from the kitchen.
· Control Induction – The Slider, CI Slider, a versatile product that gives greater temperature control and reduces energy consumption in induction cooking.
