In January 2016 The Clink Charity, supported by FCSI UK & Ireland, held its inaugural Clink Charity Ball. The event raised £50,000 in one evening with the proceeds going towards expanding the work of The Clink.
The charity are now busy planning their second Clink Charity Ball, to be held on 20 January 2017 at the Lancaster London Hotel, UK. This celebratory evening will see all profits go directly towards supporting the development of further Clink training restaurants and projects across Her Majesty’s Prison Estate.
Guests will dine on a four-course menu, created by Lancaster London executive chef Ben Purton, using all-British and locally sourced ingredients where possible. Graduates of The Clink training programme will take to the stage to tell their stories first-hand, along with ambassadors and other representatives of the charity.
A brand new Hyundai i10S worth £9,000, kindly donated by key sponsor and foodservice solutions provider Nayati, will be the star raffle prize with all event tickets including a £10 raffle ticket for the car prize draw. Tickets are priced at £150 per ticket or £1,400 for a table.
A talented workforce
In keeping with The Clink Charity’s commitment to training, education and the development of long-term hospitality careers, The Clink Charity Ball will embrace this same approach to social responsibility, engaging a talented workforce of hospitality trainees from London based colleges and universities.
The evening of fundraising, festivities and fizz will raise vital funds for the charity’s work in reducing reoffending rates, through hospitality training, education and work experience.
