Foodservice/Hospitality Design Specialist 

RealFood Hospitality, Strategy and Design (RFHSD) – part of the Troon family of brands – is excited to be adding a Design Specialist to our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their design skill set, preferably in relation to the hospitality and foodservice industry, and who wants to translate that passion and expertise into phenomenal kitchen, bar and foodservice designs and client experiences. Our close-knit and dedicated team works out of the Northeast Regional Office in Newton, MA. RFHSD is a national hospitality strategy and design firm with clients from all segments of the hospitality industry that span the US and even the globe sometimes.

 

 

Things you will likely do in this role: 

– Support Design Project Managers as design lead on projects with Design Development scope/deliverables within established deadlines
– Support Design Project Managers in client relationship management
– Take initiative to drive assigned task work to completion
– Work independently as well as on a team, under tight deadlines with flexibility
– Execute Design Development full connection drawings per design protocol
– Collaborate on systems and process improvements for Design Development
– Uphold RFHSD standards, processes, and procedures as they relate to the design department
– Demonstrate RFHSD culture with clients and co-workers, and make suggestions on improvements if needed
– Gain proficiency of RFHSD company value proposition, positioning, and brand voice
– Gain proficiency of overall RFHSD sales process and outcomes
– Gain proficiency in Salesforce use as a tool to manage BD and sales efforts

 

Things we’d like to see in candidates:

– Minimum 3 years in a drafting or designer role with proficiency in Revit and a relevant drafting portfolio
– Relevant field experience and/or degree is preferred
– Experience working professionally with a diverse range of people, internally and externally
– High-level attention to detail
– A commitment to excellence, both personally and in the work you produce
– Strong time management skills
– Ability to multi-task and pivot quickly between projects, conversations, and tasks
– A strong desire to make an immediate impact as well as to make a lasting impression on the company
– Someone who thrives under pressure, on tight deadlines, and who can self-motivate/manage, and take responsibility and accountability
– Experience in hospitality is a plus, and hospitality mindset a must
– Google Workspace knowledge a plus
