In memoriam: an obituary for Reggie Daniel FCSI

Hugely admired industry veteran Reggie Daniel FCSI, director of design with Camacho Associates, passed away on 28 September

FCSI The Americas Division lost a much-loved, highly-respected member when Reggie Daniel FCSI, CHM, MCFE, passed away suddenly on 28 September.

Daniel was an operationally trained consultant and designer with 40 years of industry experience in both kitchen and interior design. He was director of design with Camacho Associates.

“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and associate, Reggie Daniel,” said James Camacho FCSI, CSI, president of Camacho Associates and chair of FCSI The Americas. “Not only a partner, but my best friend, Reggie leaves a big hole in our firm and a bigger hole in my heart. I will always remember the giggle and the excitement in his voice when he found something new and just had to share with everyone.”

Daniel’s expertise had taken him across the United States, the Middle East, and Caribbean. He was a coveted guest speaker, had written many articles for foodservice publications and his work had been profiled across a variety of print and online media.

He was a loving husband to Cherylanne Weaver, father to FCSI member Brett Daniel and Leah McKinley, and proud grandfather to five grandchildren.

A service for Reggie was held on Sunday 2 October.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children: shrinershospitalsforchildren.org
