Christine Guyott FCSI named consultant of the year

Minneapolis-based Guyott announced winner of the Industry Service Award sponsored by Foodservice Equipment Reports magazine. Brett Daniel wins 2017 Young Lion Award

Christine Guyott FCSI, a principal at Rippe Associates in Minneapolis, US, has been selected as the winner of the Industry Service Award sponsored by Foodservice Equipment Reports (FER) magazine in the Consultant category. The publication also announced that Brett Daniel, BIM manager and project manager for Camacho Associates in Atlanta, Georgia, has been selected as the winner of the 2017 Young Lion Award in the Consultant category.

This Industry Service Award award was created by FER magazine in 2005 to honor professionals in the foodservice sector who have made “substantial contributions not just to their companies and associations, but to the equipment and supplies industry as a whole”.

FER publisher Robin Ashton acknowledged Guyott for her dedication to several industry associations, including FCSI and the Association for Healthcare Foodservice. “Christine’s dedication of time, energy and intelligence to this business has made a significant impact,” he said.

At FCSI, Guyott helped reinvigorate the Council for Emerging Consultants (formerly ICON) Committee that attracts and mentors younger consultants, and served on the Conference Planning Committees for four conferences, Super Regionals and the 2015 FCSI Symposium. She is also a key leader for AHF’s Conference Planning Committee and is a Trustee on the FCSI Board of Trustees.

FER, assisted in its selection by the Board of Directors of FCSI, will honour Guyott at FER‘s Industry Awards Dinner on 10 February 2017, at the Hyatt Regency Orlando, Orlando, Florida. “We congratulate Christine on receiving this well-deserved expression of esteem from her peers,” Ashton said.

Brett Daniel, BIM Manager & Project Manager, Camacho Associates, Atlanta, was also selected as the winner of FER‘s 2017 Young Lion Award in the Consultant category, which recognizes younger professionals (40 and below) who have already made a significant impact on the foodservice equipment and supplies industry. “The future of any industry or market is dependent on the energy, expertise and commitment of its emerging leaders,” said Ashton. “We believe our Young Lions’ dedication, vitality, creativity and intelligence will serve as an example that will help inspire others in the business.”

Daniel will also be honored at FER‘s Industry Awards Dinner on 10 February 2017.
