Industry gears up for Sirha Geneva 2016

Foodservice Consultant looks ahead to Sirha’s latest show: Sirha Geneva, held in January 2016

The fourth edition of Sirha Geneva will open its doors from Sunday 24th to Tuesday 26th January 2016. Held at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland, the Franco-Swiss hotel, catering and food trade exhibition expects to attract 12,000 high-profile professionals, along with 200 exhibitors from across all areas of the hospitality sector.

Sirha Geneva is the only exhibition in Switzerland proposing a global offering to foodservice and hospitality professionals, including food and beverage, equipment, services and technology. Attendees at the show will be able to see exhibitors ranging from oven manufacturers, maintenance companies and packaging equipment suppliers, amongst many others. The show will also host large companies, including Dupasquier, as well as many French and Swiss foodservice firms offering exceptional products with a high level of quality.

Sirha Geneva has also created a new space dedicated to local Swiss products called ‘So terroir!’ where 20 famous Swiss chef will create new recipes using products from Geneva, Fribourg, Valais and Vaud.

The show’s events calendar include the Swiss selection for Bocuse d’Or and the European selection of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie.

The Sirha World Cuisine Summit will present food trends and focus on innovation in the restaurant industry. Experts, including executives from restaurant chains, will debate the practical consequences of these trends and discuss the management of restaurants in Switzerland.

Meanwhile, the Leaders Club International will present the most innovative restaurant concepts nominated in six countries and host the election of the winners of the International Palm Awards.
